HIDDEN EDEN
Lush Agave & Wild Anima present: Hidden Eden
new release: musical short film, iceland, ecology of emotions
“Sometimes, all you need to do is listen. not to something specific, just listen. listen to something hidden, in there, out there, something somewhere. a lost paradise that has always been here with you. a hidden eden, the secret garden of your being […] there is something creative within creativity. it binds us to life itself. [..] the landscape invites us to reflect on this space we hold inside. the spiritual side of our creativity, where it is born. it mirrors all those things we go digging for and explore when creating; the emotions, the pathways we have to take in ourselves to transform, [..] earth’s ever-changing terrain is like a reflection of our inner emotional states. [...] we become vulnerable but whole in this sensitive state when facing the wild. it helps us understand our strength and nurture it, [...] being in nature is a way of proving to ourselves that we can show up exactly as we are. even if we experience pain and suffering, we remain whole through the lens of nature and can never be broken.”
- Lush Agave & Wild Anima design by Cody Sarabia.
“Hidden Eden” explores the concept of "the ecology of emotions" - how creativity influences our mental health and the relationship to our environment, seeing this as a vital element for authenticity and evolution. This work is compelling and relevant, especially as we navigate how to stay connected to our creativity in a chaotic and uncertain world and how we can deal to shape a better society post-covid.
Tell us more
This project feels very special to us because we feel as though we conceived it like a child without necessarily planning on its outcome. Just the way you don’t design the way your child is going to look like, this is how we unveiled this whole process to guide us and take its own shape. We originally planned to work together, collaborating on our respective projects and slowly realised that the path we had taken on this journey was in a way bigger than us. The nature of Iceland inspired us to make the connection on how the landscape reflects our emotional states in our creativity and how it takes part in managing a form of homeostasis and find balance in our inner emotional landscapes. Allowing ourselves to explore the spectrum of our emotions through the lens of our relationship with the Earth invites others to do the same. The creative process can affect our well being and seems to us, a key to human evolution.
“Being in Iceland at the summer solstice inspired this truly magical feeling. It was like we were experiencing this raw connection to a spiritual world that was emanating from the elements - the ice, the lava fields, the fierce winds, breathtaking mountains. All of it was like this reflection of every emotion we’ve ever felt”.

“When I was hanging out on my own in the late evenings around the village of Stodvarfjordur I felt like I was out on a secret date, but my date wasn’t a person it was the Earth, the elements, it was a truly special feeling.
