A personal note

It is a rare and wonderful thing to have a friend from university, one who excelled at pretty much everything she set her mind to. I cannot quite put into words the pride of watching someone you love accomplish so much, with so much discipline, at every single step. Getting accepted to medical school. Graduating. Falling in love and starting a family. Becoming one of the most celebrated and sought after doctors in London. And then, to top it all off, building one of the best skincare brands there is.

I still have no words for how it felt the first time we walked into Harrods together and saw the line stocked there, on those shelves, for the very first time. All of that, and she manages to look beautiful while she does it. If you have not yet heard of MZ Skin, meet Maryam Zamani.

the genesis

A Doctor's Answer to a Woman's Needs

"I created MZ Skin because I felt there were no doctor-endorsed brands created by a woman doctor with the needs of a woman met," Dr. Zamani explains. She identified that clinical brands often felt like impersonal treatments, lacking the ritual and sensory pleasure of luxury skincare.

MZ Skin is her answer: a fusion of "highly active ingredients that work together in synergy to promote beautiful radiant skin combined with a soothing sensory experience." Clean, effective, and environmentally conscious, designed for the multifaceted modern woman.

Inspiration & challenge

"As a working mother, it can be the challenge to be a good mother, wife, friend, surgeon, entrepreneur and have a little down time for myself." She credits her work ethic to her parents, draws growth from friends and visionaries across industries, and finds her ultimate motivation in her children, who "inspire me everyday to be the best I can be for them."
