Hi.

Our mission is simple: to share inspiring narratives. We curate exceptional talents, selecting them solely based on the merit of their work, not fleeting trends. Join us in exploring the uncharted territories of creativity and celebrating the essence of artistry.

Nuit Oceān

Downtempo Producer Nuit Oceān released his EP and music video titled ‘Fire Divine’ via ROUGE NEON RECORDS.

Nuit Oceān is currently sitting at just under 10 million plays across streaming platforms.
Within the aptly named Fire Divine EP, sounds blaze like colors as Nuit Oceān follows instinctive musical fauvism. The EP is part of a multi-artistic approach (music, videos, photos), in a global vision for his art, in which he expresses his deep fragility that meets with a wild, untamed sweetness. The producer composes by watching series and movies, then freezing frames and replaying certain scenes in a loop. In doing so, he captures the emotion that emanates from them and recreates it while transposing it into his own musical language.

Tell us about yourself

I was born and live in Bordeaux. My mother, originally from Algeria, played the saxophone and was a huge influence on my interest in creating music. I have performed at several festivals including NRMAL Festival and have shared the stage with artists such as Cat Power and Mahalia and have received support from noteworthy publications including i-D Mag, Earmilk, Konbini, Vogue FR, Rolling Stone FR and Tsugi as well as a radio play from RTS Radio’s Michel Masserey and CBC’s Rich Terfry.

Greatest inspirations or influences?

A great source of inspiration for me is Kurt Cobain. It's raw, efficient, without pretence, it speaks to me. In the emotion of the voice, it's SADE that comes back a lot in my influences.

Tell us about Fire Divine, what is it about?

Fire Divine is about finding yourself where you least expect it. When you think it's all over, there's always a little hope left to be reborn and be a better person.

I worked on this EP with a lot of inspiration from Brit Marling and Zal batmanglij's THE OA series. I took some scenes or dialogues to make my own songs, to tell my own story through this work that touched me a lot. The messages are tolerance, self-acceptance and LOVE.

How has the pandemic affected your creativity?

I didn't feel anything special, it just allows me to have more time to create and be less distracted by the city and its vices.

Anything else?

The world is beautiful because of our difference!
