EVERYTHING IS INSIDE SUBODH GUPTA
Subodh Gupta is one of India’s most famous contemporary artists and commonly referred to as the "Hirst of India".
His larger than life installations are made up of everyday objects and addresses grim topics plaguing not only India but the world today such waste, industrialization, and nuclear energy. These massive sculptures are created by household objects such as buckets, tiffin boxes, and in some cases even cow dung, taking the shape of a mushrooming cloud, a skull or a giant boat filled with chairs, beds, window frames, cooking pots and pans. The artist who is 50 is presenting his biggest solo show to date " Everything is Inside" in New Delhi's National Gallery of Modern Art . The show is curated by Germano Celant and will be on view until the 16th of March.
