Recently I've been posting on funky little places I have visited and loved around the world, changing the dynamics of this blog a bit.  One of those special little places is Bar.sito, a tiny speakeasy friends took me to during a visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia earlier this year.   Bar.sito, which means "little bar "in Spanish, is hidden at the end of an alleyway on the popular Street 240 so just getting there was part of the memorable experience I shared with friends on my last night before returning home. Of course there are plenty ofsuper cute, charming barsin PP but Bar.sito was really a surprise and hence my favorite.

Here's a great description from Sheila Paylan forhttp://www.expat-advisory.com/articles/southeast-asia/cambodia/barsito-you-know-what-they-say-about-little-bars

Bar.sito's most popular cocktail is the Malongotini, made of Malongo espresso, Kahlua and Absolut Vanilla Vodka.  The gin-based Salty Dog and the tequila-based Citrus Angel take a his-and-hers (respectively) twist on the traditional margarita. The Peach Sito Mojito and the Lychee Caipiroska beg to be eaten, with generous chunks of peaches and lychees in them that no one can resist digging for using straws that abysmally but ultimately successfully double as chopsticks (where there’s a will, there’s a way). And then there’s my favourite: the Bloody Sito, a spicier and heartier version of the classic bloody mary. Full of flavour and kick, it’s like having a gazpacho in Russia.
