TELEPATHE INTERVIEW

Telepathe started out when Busy Ganges and Melissa Livaudais decided that they wanted complete creative control over every aspect of their music, composition and arrangements. Essentially they wanted to be pioneers of a sound.

They didn't want to recycle any particular genre of music instead they want to put their own stamp on something while referencing everything they love about pop music. Their 2009 debut album, ‘Dance Mother’ was produced by TV on the Radio's David Sitek and recently they collaborated with Carbon Logic - an online music network for musicians to present and expose their work, where they remixed ‘What Is Love’ by New Orleans’ hip hop artist AZitiZ.

Greatest inspirations/influences?

There are really too many to list because we are constantly listening to new things every single day. Today, I adore ASAP Rocky

Upcoming Projects?

Our new album is currently taken center stage. We are currently configuring our live up...

How does Brooklyn influence your creativity?

Brooklyn used to be our home, but it's not really our current source of inspiration. Busy lives in L.A and I live in the East Village. We wrote the record in Los Angeles...I think we may have completely moved on from Brooklyn.

Most interesting response to your music so far?

It's hard to choose the most interesting response to our music, because we've been blessed with so many. My current favorite is a possible collaboration with Droop-E...

Most memorable performance to date?

Sao Paulo, We played one of our best shows there and totally fell in love with the city.

What would be a dream project for Telepathe?

I would love to do something with Fabio Frizzi circa "Zombie 2" soundtrack.

Anything else?

Keep an eye out for our second record due out 2012. Can't give away too much but I promise it won't let you down!
