CAMILLE DE DAMPIERRE
CAMILLE DE DAMPIERRE is a family story that started in January 2010 when two Parisian sisters, Laurence and Camille, got together enlightened with the idea of creating a fashion brand.
Together they transmit their talent, their universe and their common perception of fashion that can be summed up in the words: elegance, liveliness, timelessness and eclecticism.
The strength of the project comes from the contradictive yet complementary personalities of the two sisters. Camille is the artistic director while Laurence manages the brand and its development. Camille studied fashion design at Saint Martins School (London), after which she continued at Istituto Marangoni (Milan) while finishing her studies at Studio Berçot (Paris). Her creativity is always on the alert and it is with passion that she creates strong and original collections, without leaving anything to chance. The careful choice of fabrics, the innovative cuts and the attention to detail makes every piece into a unique item. Simple pieces are designed through a renewing and personal approach with the intention of accentuating the modern woman. Camille creates lively fashion inspired by her experiences, her travels and her imagination. With a strong identity, CAMILLE DE DAMPIERRE proposes a lifestyle, a soul and an innate sense of style.
Greatest inspirations or influences?
My childhood memories, the traveling I do, art that surrounds me and the street style I am confronted with every day.
Style icons in your opinion?
David Bowie, Jimmy Hendrix, and Julian Schnabel.
Who is the girl you have in mind when designing your collections?
Basically I create a figurine for every collection that serves as my inspiration. She looks more or less similar every time though her mood varies depending on the stage of her life that she is in. I would say she is kind of a combination between Kate Moss and an avatar character, with very long legs.

Merci (111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75 003). I live right around the corner and I work only five minutes working from there so I spend a lot of time in this concept store and its restaurants with my sister Laurence.
