ATTASIT POKPONG

Attasit pokpong is An influential contemporary artist from Thailand, ( born in 1977) and his beautiful series of “Girls” will be displayed at Kromatik Gallery in Beirut.

The artist works with both watercolour and oil painting to depict portraits of Asian women and often uses a contrast of pale colors for his subjects’ faces and dark ones for backgrounds, with vivid highlights for the lips and hair. His earlier work focused on city streets bustling with traffic, and the flower markets . Pokpong studied art at the Rajchamongkol Institution in Bangkok and continues to live and work in Bangkok.
