Les Filles en Fleur co-founders, Alexandra and Alessandra, came together out of a shared desire to create unique, beautifully designed garments, tailor-made to the individual’s needs.

Head designer Alessandra Mariotti trained in Florence and cut her teeth designing in the studios of Christopher Kane, Nicole Farhi, Pauric Sweeney & Jil Sander. Alexandra Cronan has spent the last few years assisting at American Vogue and freelancing at numerous other institutions.

Each dress is made by hand and their range of exquisite fabrics are of the very highest quality. They insist on involving clients in the entire design process and welcome you to visit them at their laid back London studio for a cup of tea and a private consultation.

How did Les Filles en Fleur begin? The idea to start Les Filles en Fleur came about a year or so ago when young upcoming actress Gabriella Wilde and close friend of Alexandra asked her to style her for her first red carpet premier. Alexandra called up Alessandra who at the time was based in Florence working for luxury hand bag designer Pauric Sweeney and suggested that she design the dress for Gabriella herself. After completing the project we started getting many requests for made to order dresses so we set our mind to coming up with a plan to create a company that specialised in bespoke garments. We now both live in London and have finally launched our company Les Filles en Fleur (the girls in flower) and hope to see it bloom into a respected and renowened fashion brand soon.

Greatest inspirations or influences?

Our love of beautiful timeless vintage clothing, our friends and each other.

Fashion icons in your opinion?

  • Love Erin Wasson's fresh bohemian style,

  • timelessness of Jane Birkin and Francoise Hardy

  • cheeky-ness of Aussie Alexandra Spencer

  • incredible beauty of Charlotte Kemp Muhl

they all have no fear when it comes to dressing and expressing themselves.

Who do you have in mind when you created your collection?

Us and our beautifully inspiring friends and family. However as each piece is bespoke we do not have collection as such, however in a year or so we plan to launch a small collection of our favourite pieces.
