Kate Bellm was born and raised in London, (1987) until she was 18 where she moved to Paris to study photography.

She soon after began assisting and joining friends that were already photographers on shoots (she thanks Dylan in this bio). She did a lot of backstage shoots during fashion weeks and work began to come her way. Her first big editorial job was for Esquire magazine, where they sent her and best friend actress Margo Stilley to South Carolina to shoot the Harley Bike week, which was the best experience ever, " way too much crazy shit went down which is all documented..so the evidence is still there".

In terms of fashion, a personal career highlight was shooting for L’ Officiel magazine in Paris this year where they rented a suite in The Crillon Hotel and had her friends roll around the corridors covered in diamonds. We can only imagine the kind of stuff that was documented. She caught my attention with a beautiful portrait she took of Jenny Tan, founder of Minimoo that I personally believe captures a lot of personality.  She currently works at Vice Magazine in Berlin and we can't wait to see what she shoots next.

Plans for 2009?

I have another job lined up for L’Officiel and also something for Brazilian Vogue in LA which I am super excited about. And of course I still photograph bands and other stuff for Vice here in Berlin. Apart from that I plan to enjoy myself, not take anything to seriously and enjoy my first summer in Berlin...
