Luxury Ammunition

Justin Melnick is both a digital artist and photographer who has the ability to capture the essence of adventure onto film.  His images communicate his humanitarian spirit and the fear, struggles and personalities of his subjects as they live their lives off of the beaten path.

His photography has become his vehicle for a life of exploration and documenting cultures and landscapes around the world including Afghanistan, Uganda, West Bank and all over South America. His work not only lists photographic achievements , but also the in-depth training and experience necessary for working under difficult conditions in some of the world's most dangerous environments.

Plans for 2009?

My exhibition Arm Me which opened in September 2008 in NY at Gallery 385, will be traveling to L. A, Tokyo, Paris and possibly Saudi Arabia this year. The show imagines what Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Pucci, and Chanel would add to standard ammunition.

Some of the most shocking things you have witnessed in your journeys?

As naive as this may sound, but the level of poverty, lack of basic education and hygiene that exists around the world is always extremely shocking.
