Many of you know that I have been involved with different organizations for different children’s causes around the world, including Casita de Belen in Cali Colombia and my favorite place on earth, Aziza’s Place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where I recently spent 4 months volunteering and teaching English. Currently my travels bring me to Beirut, where I’ve had the great pleasure of visiting and meeting first hand the boys of Dar El Awlad. Dar El Awlad was started by Christian missionaries, and although Christian in its spiritual holistic approach, they accept vulnerable children of all faiths and nationalities, ( 31 orphan boys), who’s smiles have captured my heart and I would love your support to help this very special place.

I know I have asked and asked again to donate to different causes I have been involved with and I am aware of the fact that there are a million causes to support. What I think that is important however, and what I would like to stress here, is that you question how your donations are being spent. So many organizations use your donations for admin, and marketing expenses more than on the actual cause you are trying to help. This is why I go first hand to experience myself the different charities I choose to collaborate with, because I want to make sure that not only are the kids really well taken care of, but that money is being spent properly and allocated on the right expenses. The money I raised for Aziza’s Place this year is going directly for the expense I chose which went on providing the children and staff health insurance since the kids were limited to dr and dentist visits before. At Dar el Awlad you can sponsor one of the orphan boys with only $25 a month. This provides shelter, food, clothing, medical care, education, and a ‘mother’ to love them and care for their day-to-day needs.

So, take your time to get to know your causes, you don’t have to travel far and to remote locations to make a difference. There is nothing I have found more rewarding than supporting children and making a difference in their lives. I hope you will support these causes that mean the absolute world to me and if you need additional information pls contact me . Thanks
