Located amongst the lively shops, bars and restaurants of Vienna’s sixth district, Theobaldgasse, Tongues is everything you would expect from a beautiful, rustic delicatessen. Locally sourced products from known and trusted farmers and producers, mouth-watering artisan meats and cheeses, freshly prepared meals… oh, and a handpicked selection of the finest electronic music. Yes, electronic music. Peter Fehringer and Christopher Schweiger decided to bring together the things they love, developing a concept store that, for us, simply has to be the only delicatessen we’ve ever seen – and are ever likely to see – that offers artisan produce next to Aphex Twin’s ‘Selected Ambient Works 85–92′. If only more people could be so brave as to follow their heart and deliver the unique… the world would surely be the better for it. Vienna certainly is…
