Since its conception CANADA ( a production company based in Barcelona) has sought to obtain creative excellence in projects in a variety of areas; advertising, fashion, music videos, TV and cultural events.
CANADA is a trio of young directors; Luis Cerveró, Nicolás Méndez & Lope Serrano.
How did Canada begin?
We got together not even two years ago. We were really close friends with similar sensibilities so it was a natural thing to join forces and build something together.
Most interesting projects so far?
We try to put our best in everything we do. I guess the TV ads are the hardest things to work on, because you are limited by a number of external factors, so the rest of the projects we’ve worked on, mostly music videos, fashion films and personal stuff are the ones we are most fond of. But we wouldn’t feel right about pointing out only a few of them.
Most interesting collaborations?
Well doing music videos is the closest we get to colaborating with other artists, the musicians in this case. And we try to have them involved as much as possible from start to end, dealing with different approaches for each job.
Up coming projects you are most looking forward to?
The thing we are most excited about right now is the that we’re about to start working abroad.
Favorite websites/blogs?
Well, there are plenty!
- We love the site of Folch Studio, our friends who developed our image and site.
- As work of other people we love, we’d say RBG6. They’re awesome and our site was built under direct influence of theirs.
- And we’re always hooked to Uniqlo’s fancy sites.
- As for blogs, we follow tons of them, one of our favorites is Some Required.
