Inspiration behind the CD?
Mish Alireza:
Well as you know the Vinyl Disciples will be in different continents for a few months this year working on expanding our horizons… Not to worry folks, this isn’t a Deep Dish break up! We are still very much a group and going strong! Given the incredible summer we’ve just had with the tour and the success of our MKE nights in Boston we decided to do an ode to some of our favorite uptempo tracks of the year. We’ll also be releasing another CD in the next 3 weeks of our favorite tracks that are out right now. So we figured “Departure” would be a fitting release at the end of the closing parties in Ibiza. Its a much more uptempo CD, but you know we cant get rid of those damn delicious vocals
What makes Departure different than previous collections?
Mishal:
Well its different because we’ve gone a little more progressive then the norm. After Ibiza, our bodies are still pumping from the baselines we heard out there.. We heard some incredible DJ’s and sets while we were out there. Martinez Brothers at Pacha Killlled it, and our new favorite old school DJ Jose Maria Ramon at Space and Ibiza global Radio was just legendary with his sets. And who can forget Eric Morillo and Swedish House Mafia’s sets! Killer. So that combined with the demand from the people for an “after hours” CD that they could rock after a night out led us to “Departure” As an added bonus, the online set at Itunes and or our podcast page has additional bonus songs on there, so its a longer set for people to enjoy! No after party we know last only 80 minutes! haha
( little side note from editor-guys YOUTUBE Cocoon’s closing parties) just a little FYI since there was a mention on Ibiza’s closing parties).

What else is coming up?
First and foremost, Mete will be opening up for our pal Eric Morillo in Boston this month which is sure to be a monster night. We have another CD release in the next few weeks of some of our favorite current tracks. We have our usual fun with some of our good friends down in Miami at Fierce Angel. Big shout out to DJ Morox honorary Disciple who rocked it down there earlier this month. We got Ross One and DJ Julien Ingrosso setting up to come rock it with us in Boston, those are always silly silly nights! And we are actually planning a Middle East tour in the next few months which we are really looking forward to. Other then that, we are just trying to find the time to get back in the Studio to finish up on some of our newest remixes while really trying to keep a hold on our sanity.
